Teaching Assistant - High Needs 1:1

Blackbrook Primary School, part of The Oak Partnership, seeks to appoint a teaching assistant.  We seek to employ a member of staff who is flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the school and has patience. The role involves working on a 1:1 basis. 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Working 1:1 with pupils with a range of specific SEND need as required; 
  • Implementing adaptations to learning identified by the class teacher and SENDCo; 
  • Working closely the class teacher, Pastoral Assistant and other Teaching Assistants supporting the pupil.

  • Medical Support for the child

Experience Desirable:

  • Experience in education
  • Experience Supporting pupils with SEND or SEMH needs 
  • Experience working with High Needs children
  • Experience with medical support for children in school

Hours of work: Full time. Term time only plus Inset Days. 30.42 hours a week.  This is a fixed term position until 31 Aug 25 with a possible need to extend/make perm in the future.
