Teaching Assistant - High needs
West Monkton CofE Primary School, part of The Oak Partnership, seeks to appoint a teaching assistant, we have 1 permanent role and one fixed-term role (maternity cover for up to a year but likely until 31st August 2025). They are mixed roles working 1:1, with small groups and occasionally larger groups dependant on the needs of the school. We seek to employ members of staff who have patience, are flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the school and pupils.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working 1:1 and on occasions small groups of pupils with a range of specific SEND and SEMH need as required;
- Implementing adaptations to learning identified by the class teacher and SENDCo;
- Working closely the class teacher, Pastoral Assistant and other Teaching Assistants supporting the pupil.

Experience Desirable:
- Experience in education
- Experience Supporting pupils with SEND or SEMH needs
- Speech and Language
- ASD Trained
- ADHD
Hours of work: Full time. Term time only (38 weeks). Hours 30.42 hours a week. Hours 8:45am - 3:20pm
Positions: 1 x Permanent position and 1 x Maternity cover up to 12 months
