Caretaker Position Available
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and skilled Caretaker to join our team at The Oak Partnership Trust. We are seeking a reliable individual who is committed to maintaining our school premises, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our students, staff, and visitors. This role will be over a number of our Schools within the trust.
Main responsibilities include:
The maintenance and security of school premises and sites, ensuring a safe environment for pupils, staff and the community:
- Maintaining the security of the school buildings.
- Undertaking minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Assisting with the setup and clearance of school events and activities.
- Maintaining outdoor areas, including playgrounds and sports facilities.
- Monitoring and managing contractors on-site.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements (for example Fire alarm checks).
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience in a caretaking or facilities management role - Desirable but not essential
- Possess basic handyman skills for minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Be familiar with health and safety regulations in a school setting.
- Show initiative and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Have excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Be committed to the ethos and values of The Oak Partnership Trust.
- Driving license is essential - due to travel between sites
Details:
Salary: Grade 13, Point 6 (£12.38)
Hours: Full time - 37 hours a week, term time, inset days, plus 4 weeks. 7:30am to 3:30pm
Location: Various school locations within The Oak Partnership Trust.
