Caretaker Position Available

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and skilled Caretaker to join our team at The Oak Partnership Trust. We are seeking a reliable individual who is committed to maintaining our school premises, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our students, staff, and visitors. This role will be over a number of our Schools within the trust.

Main responsibilities include:

The maintenance and security of school premises and sites, ensuring a safe environment for pupils, staff and the community:

  • Maintaining the security of the school buildings.
  • Undertaking minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Assisting with the setup and clearance of school events and activities.
  • Maintaining outdoor areas, including playgrounds and sports facilities.
  • Monitoring and managing contractors on-site.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements (for example Fire alarm checks).

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience in a caretaking or facilities management role - Desirable but not essential
  • Possess basic handyman skills for minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Be familiar with health and safety regulations in a school setting.
  • Show initiative and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Have excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Be committed to the ethos and values of The Oak Partnership Trust.
  • Driving license is essential - due to travel between sites

Details:

Salary: Grade 13, Point 6 (£12.38)

Hours: Full time - 37 hours a week, term time, inset days, plus 4 weeks. 7:30am to 3:30pm

Location: Various school locations within The Oak Partnership Trust.
