After School Club Supervisor

We are looking to appoint a new enthusiastic and energetic After School Club Supervisor. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they can manage the day-to-day running of ASC provision to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our pupils in your care. This will involve leading the existing team, preparing engaging activities and making sure all pupils and staff follow relevant policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will:

• Lead and manage a team of staff, setting clear expectations for the requirements of their role
• Enjoy interacting with children, engaging in play, conversation and other planned activities.
• Be committed to providing high quality care in a safe environment.
• Be involved in preparing suitable nutritious meals for all children and liaising with the Kitchen Manager regarding food supplied.
• Plan and deliver a varied and creative play programme of suitable activities for all children and share this with your team.
• Responsible for stock resources for planned activities
• Plan and manage staffing needs – ensure any absences are accounted for and covered as appropriate liaising with the ASC Lead and TESM.
• Have the ability to enthuse, inspire and motivate children.
• Be able to build positive relationships with parents, carers and other members of staff and feed back to them where necessary.
• Be self-motivated and able to use their own initiative.
• Understand the importance of safeguarding, report all concerns in line with school policy and always put the needs of the children first.
• Be able to administer first aid and meet the medical needs of the children.
• Be able to support the organisation and administration of health and safety protocols within schools.

Grade: 14 Points 6 (£12.38 per hour)

Post based at Ruishton School - 5 x afternoons, Hours 3pm-6pm, Monday – Friday (term time)

Reports to: School Headteacher/Trust Extended Services Manager
