Nursery Practitioner - Little Herons
About us
The Oak Partnership Trust has two Nursery’s, Woodlands and Little Herons. We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, experienced individual with NVQ level 3 to work at Little Herons based at West Monkton School. The successful candidate will be an excellent Early Years practitioner who can provide a stimulating, high quality and innovative early years learning experience for our youngest children.
What we are looking for:
- Ability to deliver high quality childcare in a safe and caring environment, for children as young as 2 years of age.
- Monitor and review the quality of childcare
- Manage and lead a team of nursery staff
- Manage occupancy levels and market the provision
- Ensure effective communication and liaison with parents, other professionals and outside agencies
- Support the ethos, vision and Christian distinctiveness at West Monkton schools
Key Requirements:
- Qualified NVQ Level 3 in Childcare/Early Years
- At least one year’s relevant experience
- Knowledge of Ofsted Standards and Inspections
- Excellent knowledge of EYFS
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children
- A demonstrable drive towards absolute excellence

Salary: Grade 14, point 4
Actual Gross Salary: £16,944.29.
Hours: 30 hours a week, Term time only plus INSET days (39 weeks a year)
Contract: Permanent
